AUSTRALIAN LANDSCAPE ARTIST
While I use a variety of materials and processes in each work, the tools
I most enjoy and use are the paint brush on a long stick, ink and charcoal.
The works on paper that I produce on site often become the beginning of a work on canvas.
The collage pieces are layered with acrylic and glazes, scratched and scraped to reveal hidden surprises.
The marks are loose and unpredictable just like the Australian landscape.

What Collectors Are Saying
Powerful sense of place
“Ann’s paintings have such a powerful sense of place. Her use of colour and texture creates an immediate, raw connection to the landscape. Every time I look at the piece I bought, I discover something new.”
Art Collector – Sydney
A piece I’ll treasure forever
“Ann created a beautiful commission of my favourite spot in the West MacDonnell Ranges. She captured the essence of Central Australia perfectly – the colour, the light, the feeling of space. It’s a piece I’ll treasure forever.”
Commission Client – Alice Springs
Such a highlight
“Visiting Ann’s studio was such a highlight. She is incredibly generous with her time and knowledge, and it was inspiring to see her process up close. Her passion for the Australian landscape shines through every piece.”
Studio Visitor – NSW South Coast
Warm, generous teacher
“Ann is a warm, generous and hard-working teacher. Her workshops are relaxed but rich in content. I learnt so much about mixed media techniques and came away with a new sense of confidence and playfulness in my own work.”
Workshop Participant – Mixed Media Landscapes
A real emotional connection in her work
“Her paintings of the local area feel so familiar, yet entirely new. There’s a real emotional connection in her work – like she sees beyond the surface of the landscape. The loose brushwork and layered textures are just beautiful.”
Local Buyer – South Coast NSW
Raw and expressive, but so refined
“Ann’s work is full of energy and depth. The colours she uses are unexpected but absolutely right – like she sees the landscape in a way others don’t. It’s raw and expressive, but so refined at the same time
Gallery Visitor – Melbourne
