We have been very lucky up to date. This is what we need to do and I'm happy to do it for as long as
we need to so our state can beat this virus.
We are very lucky here to have many beautiful walks within a short distance to enjoy.
My art and studio is a saviour and I spend many hours in this beautiful space.
A trip to the Red Centre in June has been a great source of inspiration for my current work.
I am enjoying collage as I always have but have discovered a new technique to applying this in my new work.
I am working up to an exhibition at 'Terra Art Gallery ' in November.
Nearly half way through the year already! Where has it gone?
I have been enjoying the beautiful summer here on the coast.
‘Swimming, bush walks ,lunches and visitors have taken over my studio time.
‘As the studio went through a Reno I made the most of these other activities.
‘I have just recently been enjoying my new space, which is bathed in sunlight most of the day.
‘I have had workshops in Griffith, Milton, Kiama and Ulladulla this year.
‘In July I will be running some in Leeton, Griffith and Wagga.
Check out my Workshop page.
I have been involved with a few art shows and Awards this year.
‘I was thrilled to be awarded a 2nd in the main award and a Highly Commended at the Tumut Art Show in April.
My works entered into the Lethbridge small scale Art Awards and the Wingecarribee Award was chosen as finalists recently.
‘I also entered a work in the Wynn Art Prize for the first time this year, but was unsuccessful.. It was exciting to be part of this getting a sneak peak into the ‘behind the scenes’ of the loading dock.
I have had lots of studio visits from locals and visitors to the area.
I am looking forward to a trip to the Red Centre very soon where I’m sure I will get an overload of inspiration for further works.
‘Thank you all for your continued interest in my work and happenings.
I am into my 2nd week in the beautiful Fern Street Gallery. I have met many interesting people and Have gained an insight into the village of Gerringong.
Staying on the Shoalhaven river, walking each morning along the river track and around Gerringong has been an inspirational experience.
‘The gallery is a beautiful space with white walls and lots of light, helping the paintings hang at their best.
I am occupying the front gallery space whilst a group of 7 talented artists in residence share the back 2 rooms.
‘Gerringong is a supportive community with many locals visiting to see the new displays.
our Land and Country is on show until Sunday 6th December so please come and visit.
